Camaroncito was beyond spectacular! We are an older couple, yet this adventure was perfect for us. Great cabanas. Spectacular food, locally sourced or right from the grounds. Sarah and Ernesto were wonderful hosts. The entertainment at night or in the afternoon was a very pleasant surprise including a local musician in his upper 80s. Lots to do yet totally relaxing. Don’t miss this gem!

Camaroncito is a truly wonderful experience! Ernesto and Sarah are warm & welcoming, super responsive, and very good at what they do. The site is gorgeous, lovingly created in a stunning setting of Caribbean beach and rainforest. Our cabana was snug, clean, comfy, and thoughtfully equipped. The shared open air dining-dancing-hanging out space has a real family feel, whether for a quiet breakfast or a party with folks from the neighboring village. Excellent local food expertly served up by Magdalena and crew! Sarah and Ernesto are involved with the neighbors in all kinds of ways that benefit the guests and the local community. Great surf fishing and boogie-boarding. Our transportation coming in and going out was smooth, fun, and customized to our needs. Thanks for a beautiful rest-and-recharge!

This is much more than a mere resort, it is an amazing escape from the rat race of life! If you MUST have a TV, AC and throngs of tourists then look elsewhere as this is completely off the grid, yet includes everything from cold drinks to warm meals. I have never in my life experienced such a relaxing, exciting and joyous vacation! The hosts, Sarah and Ernesto will cater to your every whim while giving you space to relax and do your own thing. By the end of the trip these two felt like long time friends. I really hope I can return again one day soon!

I loved my getaway to Camaroncito. It was such a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and the stresses of everyday life. I loved the feeling of being submerged in a vibrant and rich natural environment, full of so much beauty and life. Sara and Ernesto are great, friendly and attentive hosts. Sara’s food is simple but delicious. The cabins have everything you need, including hot water. The wifi works great. I highly recommend the hike to the waterfall which was one of the best waterfalls Ive seen.

If you are slightly considering going to Camaroncito, stop wondering and just book your trip. Our time there was absolutely fabulous. From the well-appointed cabin, the soothing sounds of the ocean (and howler monkeys!), and the delicious food and beverages to the remote location, the view of the Atlantic, and the warm welcome from Sarah and Ernesto - our trip was fantastic. We were able to completely relax and recharge! It's like being at home without the responsibilities of being home - we felt that welcome and that cared for. Also, I am strictly GF and Sarah ensured I didn't have to worry about anything I ate. For those who know the frustration of eating out and wondering if you will pay for it later, I can tell you that this was a dream. For a full week I didn't have to worry once about what I was eating! And, believe me, I ate well. :)
